Flower Card

 Another quick card.  For this card I used Bazzill cardstock, some paper from Basic Grey and MME, rig-rag, staples, EK flower punch, Cuttlebug french dots (my latest favourite) and swirls and finally a jumbo brad.

I make most of my cards 5,5 x 5,5 inches (still looking for 6" envelopes).  I seldom put Happy Birthday or Thanks on my cards - I usually leave that till I am sure what the card is for.

I bought a index card sorter of some "sort" at a garage sale this weekend.  Very cute!  Will take a photo of it some time.  Sorted all the little pieces of cardstock yesterday.  Embossed some ...ready for making cards!

Quick Stamping Project

 Just a quick project I did today.   I used some Hero Arts stamps for the birds, StampinUp stamps for the words , a round punch, hart punch, mini washing pegs and some silly ribbon.

The green paper is from MME and the pink from Making Memories.

I would consider myself a stamp collector by now is the time to use it - otherwise I can no longer collect....

Just fun to play around with different scrap stuff. 

Another Card

Just a quick post.  On this card I used some Bazzill cardstock,  MM flower and brad, some MME paper and rig-rag.

Still think that it is a great way to use scraps and to have a beautiful gift for somebody.  You can buy 6" square boxes or tins and fill them with some cards.  If you have a problem finding envelopes visit some wedding invitation websites.  They have beautiful envelopes in various sizes. 

I always make my cards 5,5" x 5,5 " , so this allows me to buy 6" envelopes in bulk.

Flower Power

Here is a quick card I made with some Heidi Swapp felt, MM paper and Bazzil card stock.  I just love making cards and I give them in boxes (with envelopes) as gifts.  On this card I used some rig-rag (love it!) and just stapled it to the card.  What a fun way to spend a day!

Using Flocking

Now this was fun!  Never used it before:  flocking.  Around the Block has what they call "clue stickers".  It looks like rub-ons but it is a sticker.  You then have a choice of using flowing or glitter over this sticker and for this card I used flocking.  The white flocking on this card is realy beautiful it has a velvet feel and just makes the card a bit special.

If you like to try easy and fun techniques this would be both!

Ribbon on Cards

Here is a quick card based on the weekly sketch from Card Positioning Systems

For this card I used some Bazzill Cardstock, paper from MME, the beautiful chipboard tag from Autumn Leaves (Rhonna Farrer) and the ribbon from Heidi Swapp.

Card Making Blog

There is a great site called  Card Positioning Systems.  They post a weekly sketch - give you some great ideas and you can play along.

This is my version of this sketch (number 53)

Just a warning......card making (like scrapbooking) can be quite addictive - so do think twice before you start.

For this card I used some Bazzill cardstock, then added some background paper from K and Co, additional paper from MME, heart from MME, "friends" from MM and some ribbon.

Quick Cards

Such a hectic week....just quickly want to post two cards.....

For this card I used Bazzill Cardstock, Heidi Swapp flower, Bazzill bard. paper from MME and Creative Imaginations - the gorgeous chipboard label from Rhonna Farrer and some ribbon.

Still love to make cards - such a fun quick thing.

The second card Bazzil cardstock, paper from MME, ribbon from Heidi Swapp and lovely chipboard label from Rhonna Farrer.  I only add a title (thank you or happy birthday) to the card when I use it....you never know what you are going to run short of just at the last minute!

Using Ribbon

I love to buy ribbon....using it is a different story.  Somehow I always feel a bit uncomfortable using ribbon (like it is "not-me").

So, with the cards I can give it a try and I must say it is getting easier.  On this card I used a very wide ribbon and then just secured it with a brad - easy!

I still need to make the jump to use more ribbons on pages - so this will be the challenge I will give myself in the next week (or two).

Products used on this card.  White Bazzill (as always).  Pink paper from Basic Grey, flower from Making Memories, brad from Heidi Swapp, green paper lace from Creative Imaginations and finally  green cardstock from MME.

Fort the second card I used Bazzil and then added some Prima Flowers, Heidi Swapp ribbon and some Creative Imaginations paper lace. 

I have enough cards for most people in phone directory at this stage.......a bit crazy - I need to know more people with birthdays!!!!

Valentine Cards

Okay here is my next obsession - using fabric with paper :)  It is so much fun I feel like making a hundred cards!  For this one I just used some Bazzill card stock - then cut a piece of denim, then the heart.  I then used some pins to attach the heart to the denim.

Finally, I mounted it on white and then red Bazzill.

For the second card I used as a base a plain embossed card from DCWV (Die Cut With a View) and then added the fabric.  This time I decided to stitch the fabric and then place it on my card.  To attach the fabric to the card I just used some double sided tape. 

No come on.....you have to admit this looks and is so easy - no reason for you to buy any Valentines cards!

Making cards with little pieces of fabric and card stock is a great way to use stuff you already have in your house.  I am going to look for some pink fabric today - and then maybe mix with some green to make some girly cards.....who knows :)

I am seriously having fun!!!
