I very seldom "design" a card - just kind of stick the paper down and don't think about it much.
Every now and then I make a "scary" card but for the most part they work out. What works for me is to add some dimension and just for fun I play with stuff I have but seldom use (like ribbon).
Because I have no idea what I am going to do with a card when it is finished I just make it simple so then later I can add "thanks" or "happy birthday".
On the second card I wanted to use some of flowers and I do think that this is a card I will copy a few times :)
Now sure how many scrappers make cards....but you should give it a try.
Products use in these cards: Bazzil card stock (obviously), a corner rounder (great great great investment), MM brads, Prima flowers, the heart is form MME (My Minds Eye) the pink paper also from MME and the ribbon from Heidi Swapp....can't remember the green dots (sorry)!
Oh yes and tools used apart from the corner rounder and paper cutter is a great tool called a ribbon punch from Making Memories - I used it to cut the holes in the card stock for the ribbon - I will feature the tool some time later so you can see this great tool.
